I get overly excited about gift giving. There have been multiple instances over the years where Garrett and I go out for drinks, I lose all inhibition, and I force him to open all of his birthday gifts on October 13th. His birthday is October 14th. It makes for a slightly underwhelming birthday. This happened this year. Whoops. With this in mind, I have been really focused on keeping Christmas on the mutually agreed "just us" Christmas day. Except for two little things that I felt were worthwhile to open beforehand.

Garrett has rec league basketball games on Monday and Thursday nights which is why he is shirtless, I promise. His Monday night league is with co-workers through TripAdvisor and his Thursday night league is with a friend/co-worker, Dan, through BSC (Boston Sports Club). Garrett has really enjoyed playing basketball, but his ankles are beginning to rebel. Hopefully another surgery is not on the horizon!
